In Oculus, two siblings, Kaylie (Karen Gillan) and Tim (Brenton Thwaites), are haunted by their traumatic childhood and the mysterious deaths of their parents. Kaylie becomes obsessed with proving that an antique mirror, the Lasser Glass, is responsible for the tragic events, believing it has supernatural powers that distort reality and drive its owners to madness. As they confront the mirror once again, the line between past and present blurs, and they are pulled into a terrifying battle with their own memories and fears. Directed by Mike Flanagan, Oculus is a psychological horror film that expertly weaves together suspense and disturbing imagery, creating an unsettling atmosphere where reality itself becomes unreliable.
